Manta is a multi-purpose wool yarn that is suitable for all kinds of handicrafts, such as sweaters, mittens, hats, scarves and weaving shawls. The felting property of the yarn can be exploited, as the yarn felts in a beautifully even and soft way.
No chemical treatments (dyeing, machine wash resistance, moth protection) have been used in the manufacture of the product, so it's s warmth and moisture absorption are preserved. The yarn is gently washed, so there is natural lanolin left in it.
It is easy to find different patterns for Manta wool yarn, as all patterns that use Aran- or Worsted-weight yarn are suitable. In Icelandic sweaters you can replace Lettlopi with Manta.
